Catherine Levacy Cockrell has more than a decade of state and federal litigation experience, including an excess of 50 jury trials. Catherine is adept at defending and prosecuting complex legal, factual and damages issues in multiple jurisdictions throughout Texas, resulting in multiple verdicts, summary judgments and settlements in favor of her clients.
Catherine was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. Prior to joining Fee, Smith, Sharp & Vitullo, she gained valuable trial and courtroom knowledge serving as a senior briefing attorney and chambers administrator at the United States District Court in the Eastern District of Texas in Beaumont. While in Southeast Texas, Catherine was chosen to open a local office of a publicly traded Fortune 100 company’s in-house counsel, in order to expand representation to the company’s clients. Catherine was then recruited to return to prosecution as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, primarily focused on white collar matters. Catherine and her family relocated to Houston where she returned to civil defense litigation.
