Frank Catalano has represented businesses and individuals in both state and federal courts throughout Texas and Louisiana. He has extensive experience handling a variety of commercial litigation matters including transportation liability, construction liability, products liability, premises liability, insurance defense, commercial disputes, consumer liability and banking liability. Specifically, Mr. Catalano serves as defense counsel in cases involving semi trailers/tractor-trailers, commercial trucks, heavy machinery, power systems, construction defects, construction site accidents and motor vehicle accidents.
Prior to joining FSSV, Mr. Catalano served as litigation counsel for multiple financial services and title insurance clients, handling a broad range of cases involving mortgage lending, automotive finance, consumer finance, bankruptcy, state and federal debt collection acts, title disputes and deceptive trade practices acts. He was also selected to serve in a secondment capacity with a major financial services client, where he gained valuable experience working as in-house counsel on a high volume of mortgage finance cases. He applies the lessons he learned in-house by providing his clients with knowledgeable legal representation through a comprehensive analysis of the legal issues and developing successful legal strategies for the favorable resolution of all claims.
While in law school, Mr. Catalano was a member of the Loyola Law Review and was given the Honorable Ivan L.R. Lemelle Best Case Note Award by judges for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He also participated in the Loyola Law Clinic where he assisted prosecutors with the District Attorney’s Office for Jefferson Parish. Following law school, Mr. Catalano earned a trial certification from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy subsequent to the completion of an intensive course on trial strategy and presentation. He is a member of the Texas and Louisiana state bars, and is admitted to practice in all U.S. District Courts in Texas and Louisiana as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
