Adam Strange was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 2004 and the Texas Bar in 2014. His practice areas include commercial litigation, general civil litigation, banking law, commercial transactions, probate (including litigation of contested wills and trusts), real estate transactions and construction law.
Mr. Strange received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2001 from the University of Texas at Dallas, cum laude. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2004 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
Mr. Strange’s past honors include the Dean's Honor Roll, the National Dean's List 2001-2002, recipient of the Dean's Circle Merit Scholarship, the Cecil L. Hunt Memorial Scholarship and the CALI Award. Mr. Strange was also a quarterfinalist in the NTC trial competition. His past memberships include The Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inns of Court and Phi Delta Phi. He also served as an SBA Representative for ATLA.
Mr. Strange’s legal memberships include the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Texas Bar Association and the Dallas County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the Federal District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, and the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Strange has twice been named one of Oklahoma’s Rising Stars by Oklahoma Magazine, a privilege limited to less than 2.5 percent of all qualifying lawyers in Oklahoma.
Representative Matters
Successfully defended a large bank in a lawsuit alleging fraud, negligence and misrepresentation. After a five-day jury trial, he obtained a verdict for his client.
Defended a franchisee in federal court against numerous plaintiffs seeking in excess of $15 million in alleged damages based on fraud and breach of contract. Obtained a favorable judgment at the pleadings stage resulting in dismissal of all fraud claims. Thereafter, the plaintiff agreed to a small settlement amount.
Successfully defended a dance hall from claims that its employees assaulted patrons of the establishment.
Litigated a six-week bench trial on behalf of a large bank acting as trustee of an oil trust.
Successfully defended a business owner in a jury trail from claims of breach of lease, breach of contract and conversion, filed by the business owner’s landlord. After deliberating for 25 minutes, the jury found in the client's favor and awarded attorney fees against the landlord.
Successfully represented a beneficiary of a family trust against the trustees of the trust. Obtained financial damages payable to the client for undistributed income generated by the trust.
Acted as general counsel for numerous small- and medium-sized businesses. Assisted these clients in issues related to employment, contract and litigation.
Successfully defended a bad faith claim against an insurance company, asserted by the company's insured claiming bad faith refusal to pay on a fire damage claim that was later determined to be arson.
Successfully defended a large bank from claims asserted by credit card holders pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act seeking several hundred-thousand dollars in damages.
