Bill has practiced law for more than three decades, with an extensive practice in litigation, insurance matters, and transactions.  His experience includes the representation of business owners and managers, general contractors, subcontractors, motor carriers, product manufacturers, governmental institutions and insurance companies.  He has an extensive background in casualty litigation including vehicular accidents, premises liability claims, construction defect claims, and is experienced in trial and appellate matters.

He has also served as corporate claims counsel for nearly a decade for one of the country’s largest property and casualty insurers.  As corporate counsel, he has provided counsel and advice and given presentations to business leaders in claims operations, sales and marketing, and agents and producers.  He has counseled on many issues, including compliance, bad faith avoidance, contracts and processes, insurance coverage disputes, management of high exposure and extra-contractual claims, and medical and health care matters.  He has served as a corporate representative and offered testimony in court and legal proceedings on many of these matters.  Bill’s corporate and claims background provides him with unique understanding and insight into the perspectives of professionals in the insurance and claims management business.

Bill holds degrees from Louisiana State University in political science, and from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University where he was selected to the Moot Court Board.  Upon graduation from the Law Center, he became a law clerk for the chief judge of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, and thereafter transitioned into private law and corporate practices.
